Seeking Qualified Endocrinologists Nationwide

Joslin Diabetes Center, a Harvard Medical School Affiliate, is seeking BC/BE endocrinologists, who have an interest in diabetes to join our network of physicians throughout the United States.  We have staff endocrinology and Medical Director opportunities available in a variety of locations. 

Founded in 1898, Joslin Diabetes Center is the world’s preeminent diabetes clinic, diabetes research center and provider of diabetes education. Being a part of a Joslin Affiliate offers access to the largest institution in the world devoted exclusively to diabetes research, care and education, and the most expansive global network of endocrinologists.

• Decatur, IL (part-time)

Affiliate at Providence Hospital - Washington, DC

Position: Dietitian-Outpatient Nutrition

Responsibilities:
· Demonstrates the knowledge and experience in the principles, practices, and procedures of the science of Dietetics required in conducting Medical Nutrition Therapy and Diabetes Self -Management Education & Support (DSME/S) for the Bariatric and Joslin Diabetes Center.
· Responsible for the development and revision of educational materials and curriculum of the weight management classes for the Bariatric Care Center; Conducts Pre and Post-Surgical Bariatric classes and individual MNT services for the Bariatric Care Center.
· Conducts DSME and MNT services in collaboration with Diabetes Education coordinator; Coordinate consultations and referrals to facilitate communication between patient and referring providers as needed.
· Participates in support groups for Bariatric and Joslin Diabetes center.

Education & Experience:
· Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Food Service Management or related field required.
· Must be a Registered Dietitian by the Commission of Dietetic Registration
· Minimum 2 years in the field of Dietetics preferred.

Licenses & Certifications:
· Licensed Dietitian DC require within 90 days of hire
· Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) or CDE eligible preferred, but not required.
· Certification in Weight Management by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics preferred, but not required.

Endocrinologist

L+M Medical Group (L+MMG), a multispecialty employed group that is affiliated with L+M Healthcare, is seeking an Endocrinologist for its Joslin Diabetes Center with sites in New London and Stonington, Connecticut, serving patients in eastern and shoreline CT, southern and western RI and Fisher’s Island, NY. Affiliate at Upstate Medical University - Syracuse, NY

Position: RN, CDE

RN NYS license with 3 years clinical experience (preferably experience with diabetes care and management). Excellent written/oral communication skills and strong computer skills required. BSN preferred. CDE preferred. If not currently a CDE, must obtain within 3 years of hire. 

The primary focus of this position is to provide diabetes education to patients at the Joslin Diabetes Center, Upstate University Hospital (UUH) and ensure that the outpatient diabetes program meets the patient education standards of the Joslin Diabetes Center and UUH. This position will also interact with other staff members and/or providers in a consultative fashion to assist in the provision of diabetes education. Major duties and responsibilities include: provide education in diabetes self management to patients and their families newly diagnosed with diabetes and those patients managing their diabetes for years; develop and implement an individualized education plan based on a needs assessment; work closely with the multi-disciplinary UUH staff as well as the Boston Joslin Diabetes Center to develop policies and protocols pertaining to diabetes; manage urgent sick day episodes of care via telephonic triage; conduct staff as well as community education; maintain accurate medical record documentation and other duties as assigned. 

Position: Endocrinologist

The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism and the Joslin Diabetes Center at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY are seeking a BC/BE Endocrinologist with New York State license (or eligible).
